Since he grew up around dogs, he has developed what we lovingly call German shepherd energy. He is confident, outgoing, loyal, and absolutely convinced that he has an important role to play in the household.<br/><br/>Scarecrow is not shy about expressing himself. He is a very talkative boy who will happily hold conversations with his people and strongly believes closed doors are completely unacceptable. He wants to know what everyone is doing and be part of the action at all times.<br/><br/>This big tuxedo boy likes to be in charge and prefers being the dominant animal in the home. Because of this, he would do best as the only pet or with his sister, **Pumpkin Patch**, who understands and happily accepts their dynamic. Together, Pumpkin and Scarecrow make the perfect turnkey duo. They balance each other beautifully—Scarecrow leads the way, and Pumpkin is happy to follow.<br/><br/>Scarecrow is incredibly affectionate with his people. He loves attention, rolls around on his back asking for pets, rubs against his favorite humans, and even enjoys being held. Once he feels comfortable in a new environment, he is friendly and confident with strangers as well.<br/><br/>Scarecrow is also a very large cat—not overweight, just genuinely big! He is a handsome, substantial tuxedo boy with a personality to match his size.<br/><br/>At only 2 years old, Scarecrow and Pumpkin Patch are past the wild kitten stage but still young, playful, and full of love. They are friendly with people, excellent litter box users, and good about using scratching posts. They are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, up to date on shots, microchipped, de-wormed, and on flea preventative. Our goal is to match our fosters with the best home possible. <br/><br/>The adoption fees for our felines are as follows: $150 for kittens (or 2 for $250); $100 for adult cats (or 2 for $170); and $75 each for our special seniors/FIV+ kitties.
