After losing the home they shared, Boss (9) and Scampuss (3) have found shelter life difficult. Visitors often see two cats hiding together (sometimes hissing) and move on. What they don't see is what happens when these boys are given time, patience, and a quiet place to relax. Boss & Scampuss are each other's safe place; home means each other. You'll often finding cuddled together finding comfort in each other, Scampuss with his head reassuringly on Boss's back. Outside their kennel, with time & trust, their sweet personalities begin to shine. They enjoy being loved on and will fall asleep on your lap during a quiet petting session. These boys don't need perfection. They just need someone willing to look beyond the fear and see the loving companions waiting underneath.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control's Adoption Policy

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control does require an adoption application to be completed prior to adoption. The information includes your name, address, phone number, and email. Please return application in person. No online adoptions. All current dogs/cats must be sterilized and current on rabies to adopt from our shelter. Anyone can adopt from the shelter, not just Henderson residents. The shelter does reserve the right to deny an adoption if the potential adopter fails to meet standards. Adoption fees. Kittens (6 month and younger) $100 Cats $85 Puppies (6 month and younger) $150 Dogs under 30 pounds $125 Dogs over 30 pounds $100 Rabbits $40 These fees include the routine vaccines, spay or neuter surgery if not already done, microchip ID and registration, and a rabies tag or Henderson License (depending on where you live).
