Scallop

Meet Scallop!! (case #20847)

Don’t let the hard shell fool you: there’s a delectable little morsel of sweetness hiding inside!

Scallop is an approximately 5-month-old dilute calico tabby with beautiful, one-of-a-kind markings and a personality that is every bit as intriguing as her looks. When you first meet her, Scallop may put on quite a show. She’ll try her best to convince you that she is a fierce little force of nature, complete with a healthy dose of “I am absolutely NOT impressed by you.”

But here’s the secret: the bravado is short-lived. Once the waves settle, Scallop’s softer side starts to peek through. Beneath that tough exterior is a kitten who really does want to open up, make friends, and discover that people can be a safe and wonderful part of her world.

She just needs someone willing to stick around through the crashing waves long enough to see what’s underneath the shell. Scallop may not be the kitten who immediately swims into your arms, but she could be the one who eventually chooses you and there’s something pretty special about earning the trust of a little soul who was once determined to keep you at a distance.

With patience, kindness, and a little time, we think this beautiful girl could trade her defenses for affection and discover that life is much sweeter when you don't always have to keep your shell closed. So if you're looking for a kitten with gorgeous markings, a little attitude, and a whole lot of hidden goodness, come meet Scallop.

She may make you weather a few waves, but we have a feeling the treasure waiting on the other side will be worth it. Meet her at our adoption partner, PetSmart. The address is 1779 Stone Church Road East, Stoney Creek.

*Please note: we only adopt within Ontario
