Scabbers is a 5-year-old black and white gentleman who may need a little time to decide that you're his kind of person, but once he does, he'll come right over to ask for attention. He spends much of his day curled up in his bed, but he's always curious enough to peek out when someone opens his door.<br/><br/>Give him a few minutes to get comfortable, and Scabbers will come over to sniff your hands before bumping into them for pets. He especially enjoys head scratches and will even initiate affection by rubbing against you. He also has a serious appreciation for licky treats.<br/><br/>Scabbers is front paw declawed, which may contribute to pain or stress for him, so we've been keeping his petting sessions short and gentle to avoid overstimulation. He may grumble if petting continues too far down his body, but he seems to genuinely enjoy those few favorite head pets.<br/><br/>Other cats are stressful for Scabbers, so he would do best as the only cat in his home. He could potentially live with a calm, cat-savvy dog who is known to do well with cats.
