We have the real life Sassy from homeward bound here at our shelter! But let me tell you, she is so far from sassy! This girl is just as sweet as she is beautiful. She was very scared when she first came into the shelter, and can still be a bit shy. Once she comes around she will steal your heart in an instance! Nelson County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
We ask that potential adopters view our pets online. If interested in a particular pet we ask for adopters to submit a pre-adoption application. Once we receive a completed application it takes a few days of processing time. Applicants will be contacted and made aware the status of their application. Approved applicants will be scheduled to come and meet the pet they applied for. If all goes well with the meeting, the adopter we be able to take the lucky pet home!
