Sassy's Story
Meet Sassy, A shy survivor looking for her safe place. Sassy is a quiet soul who came to us from a severe hoarding case back in 2021, where over 90 cats were rescued from one home. Understandably, she remains deeply under-socialized and fearful around people. She startles easily, will run and hide, and does not like to be picked up. Shelter life is overwhelming for her, and she needs a calm, cat-savvy home that respects her boundaries. Sassy is not likely to become a cuddly or social cat, but what she does need is a patient, experienced adopter who understands that some cats, especially those with traumatic pasts, show love in quiet, distant ways. She’s independent but curious—interested in toys and treats from afar and she absolutely depends on the company of other cats. A friendly, confident feline companion is essential for her ongoing comfort and progress. Sassy would do best in a home with adults or respectful teens (15+) who understand her need for space and time. This sweet girl may always be more of a roommate than a lap cat, but with the right home, she still deserves a chance at peace, safety, and quiet companionship.

If you decide to open your heart and home, please consider Sassy and one of her cattery friends!
