Sasha Statoodle 55154's Story
Sasha is a beautiful, playful, and curious young female cat looking for her forever home. She came to Saved by Zade in July, and she was shy around humans at first. She has always been very playful, but it has taken her some time to get comfortable with humans. She has been in a foster home for a few months, and she has definitely shown that she wants to be around humans and have lots of interactions with us during the day. Sasha is still working on her trust with humans, but she draws near to you when you play with her. Play time is her love language! She will play with wand toys until she pants and sticks her tongue out. If you work from home, she will jump on your desk and demand that you play with her, or else she will play with everything on your desk (your mouse, stapler, sticky notes). She's not picky with her toys. She has lots of energy to burn each day, and she enjoys gentle pets when she has played for awhile and drained some of her energy. She loves to "chirp" at you and be vocal with her humans. Think of Sasha as the outcast at your school who is misunderstood. She wants to fit it so badly, and it is evident that she craves being a part of your life. She just needs one on one time with a human who understands cat lingo and can give her the attention she needs to get out her energy out. She will love you unconditionally if you give her the time she needs to adjust in a new home. She would do best in a home without children. She has been around other cats, and she can get a little bossy with cats that are submissive; however, if you have a cat that is active and doesn't mind other cats, she will fit in just fine with proper acclimation. She has also been around a small dog in her foster home and doesn't seem to mind them. Having cat trees, cat scratchers, and possibly an outdoor catio would be great things for her to have in her new home due to her high energy level and curiosity. Sasha is not 100% comfortable being held, but she does tolerate being picked up for short periods of time using positive reinforcement (treats and saying "good girl"). Her new owner will need to continue positive reinforcement with being picked up and also being placed into a carrier for those pesky vet visits. Please consider adding sweet Sasha to your home. She will bring you immense joy and laughter if you are willing to give her
the love and attention she needs.
Email: adoptions@savedbyzade.com
