Meet Sapphire, a beautiful 1 year old tabby with a friendly personality and the cutest little white paws that look like she's wearing her finest pair of white stilettos. She's equal parts charming, sweet and stylish!<br/><br/>Sapphire came to us at the end of June after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter that needed to make space for more incoming animals. While we don't know how she first entered the shelter system, we do know that she deserves a future filled with love, comfort and a family to call her own.<br/><br/>At just one year old, Sapphire is at a wonderful age to adopt. She's left behind the tiniest kitten stage but still has all the playful energy, curiosity and enthusiasm that make young cats so much fun. Cats her age often adjust well to new homes, are eager to bond with their families and have developed enough personality for you to get a good sense of who they are. It's the perfect balance of youthful playfulness and growing maturity.<br/><br/>Tabby cats have long been some of the world's most beloved felines and for good reason. Their distinctive striped, swirled, or spotted coats are instantly recognizable, and tabbies have become pop culture icons through famous cats like Garfield, Heathcliff, Morris the Cat, and Puss in Boots. Their classic good looks, expressive faces and wide variety of coat patterns have made tabbies favorites in books, movies, television, and countless homes around the world. It's no surprise that tabbies continue to be one of the most popular and recognizable cat coat patterns.<br/><br/>Sapphire is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy windowsill, playful afternoons and a family who will adore her for years to come. If you're looking for a young, friendly companion with plenty of love to give and a fabulous sense of fashion thanks to those adorable white "stilettos," Sapphire may be the perfect fit.<br/><br/>The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
