Sapphire 's Story

Sapphire was rescued as a stray cat living outside and she was only about 6 months old when she came to Healing Animal SCARS. She has been fully vetted, tested for feline leukemia FIV and heartworm, vaccinated with boosters, spayed and microchipped as well as treated for parasites. She is a friendly funny girl who gets along wonderfully with other cats. She has a sister Onyx who has a heart condition, it would be nice if they were adopted together but not required. She does have to go to a home that has another cat to keep her company.
She loves to snuggle up with her humans when they're sleeping. She loves to play on wrestle with other cats at the Foster home. She really enjoys chasing chewing mice and jumping after feather wands. She is very energetic which is why we want her to go to a home that has another cat to play on wrestle with. She's a happy girl who wants a family to love her! She must be indoors only.
The adoption fee for an adult cat is $275 which includes a free trial of 6 weeks of Pet Health insurance. If you're interested in adopting her please call Sonya at 902-469-6369 and I can email you the application form. You also need to call your Veterinary Hospital to give them permission to discuss your history with us. Once you have completed the application form and been approved, we can bring you to the foster home to meet her in person to see if you fall in love with her, which I'm sure you will because she's adorable

Healing Animal SCARS - Sonya's Cat & Animal Rescue Society's Adoption Policy
In order to be considered for adoption, you must call Sonya at 902-469-6369 for a discussion to see if you may be a potential fit for one of our adoptable cats or kittens. Then email katsonya@accesswave.ca for an application and call your vet to give them permission to discuss your history with us. We request a donation of $275 for a cat that has been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated twice, spayed or neutered, treated for parasites and microchipped. We request an adoption fee of $350 for a kitten. Kittens are tested for Feline Leukemia, as they cannot be tested for FIV until they are 6 months old, so we generally rely on the mother cat's test result for FIV. Kittens are fully vaccinated three times, spayed or neutered and microchipped, as well as treated for parasites and any existing illnesses or injuries.
