Sandy's Story
Sandy was born outside and ended up in a shelter at just over 2 months old. She was extremely fearful of people, sudden movements and feet but has made incredible progress in foster care.
Today, Sandy enjoys watching her people from a safe distance and, with help from a Churu treat, will climb into your lap for pets head to toe. She isn't ready for touching without treats to distract her and isn't comfortable being picked up yet but with patience and time, she continues to grow more confident every day.
Sandy is playful, beautiful, and loves string toys, cat trees, and watching the world from a window. She is fully litter trained and gets along extremely well with other cats and large dogs.
She's bonded to her best friend Zuko and would be best with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. In return, you'll have the privilege of watching a shy cat grow into a devoted companion at her own pace.
