Sandy Cheeks's Story

Who's the strongest critter at TCR? Newly adoptable Sandy Cheeks, that's who!

Sandy Cheeks and 19 of her family members came to TCR when their owner was looking for help finding homes for some of her cats that she rescued from the streets near her home.

Sandy Cheeks is a sweet vocal girl who's a little shy and hidey at first. However, with some time and patience, she becomes an affectionate sweetie always chirping for butt pets and playtime. She loves curling up on soft surfaces, chewing and kicking toys, and a churu treat. Don't let her shyness fool you, she's a strong hunter who is serious about play and likes chasing her foster sister around. Sandy Cheeks enjoys the company of others, so ideally she would be adopted to a home with another pet. She can be skittish with loud sounds and sudden movements, so hyper dogs may not be the best fit, but we think she will do well with other cats, chill dogs, and kiddos with proper introduction.

Sandy Cheeks is approximately 1.5 years old, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested negative, dewormed, and flea treated. If this cutie sounds like a match for you, apply for her today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
