SAMMIE's Story

MEET SAMMIE! Looking for a big bodacious boy cat to fill your lap on a cold winter evening? Look no further - Sammie is your man! His previous family reluctantly surrendered him due to allergies. We're told he can be choosy with people but once you're chosen, he'll give you lots of love and occupy your lap whenever it's available. Sammie will need regular brushing to keep his coat from matting (you'll notice some shaved spots when you meet him). Bring a large carrier to Dedham to scoop up Sammie! Sammie is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Animal Rescue League of Boston(Dedham branch)'s Adoption Policy

We require the following as part of the adoption process: - We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirement. - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older - A photo of the cage your pet will live in, if adopting a small animal or bird - Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier to bring home all adopted cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and other small animals or birds of a larger size. All ARL Animal Care & Adoption centers offer new travel carriers for sale ($35 – $40 depending on size), along with gently used carriers, as supplies last ($10).
