Then, during one of our winter storms, everything changed. Samantha was soaked from the rain, looked exhausted, and when her feeder opened the car door, Samantha climbed right in. She refused to leave, making it clear she was ready for a new life. That evening, her feeder contacted LapCats and offered to foster her, knowing Samantha might not survive much longer living outside.<br/><br/>We later discovered Samantha was microchipped, but despite our efforts, her previous guardian never responded.<br/><br/>Today, Samantha has blossomed into a gorgeous girl with luxuriously soft, fluffy fur and the sweetest personality. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she forms a wonderful bond with her people. She has the tiniest little meow, comes when shes called, loves following her favorite person from room to room, and is happiest simply being nearby. She also enjoys playing with wand toys, being brushed, and, of course, treats!<br/><br/>Samantha is looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the time she needs to settle in and the security she has waited so long to find. After years of surviving on her own, she deserves a lifetime of comfort, kindness, and unconditional love.<br/><br/>The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.<br/><br/>All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are vaccinated. If they have been rescued as kittens under 4 months, they will not have a rabies vaccine. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. <br/><br/>We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.
