Samantha's Story
This is Samantha. Samantha was a feral cat that was found pregnant. A good Samaritan brought her
inside to have her kittens in a safe place. Samantha was initially very fearful, didn’t want to be touched,
and secluded herself for about 4 weeks. For this reason, there was uncertainty whether she wanted to
be a house cat and her ear was clipped with the possibility of her returning to the feral state she was
comfortable with. But with constant love, patience, food, and treats, Samantha began to come out of
her shell and the more she felt comfortable and trusting, the more her loving nature was revealed.
She’s become a very sweet, vocal, and affectionate cat. She’s still learning to play, but absolutely loves
being loved on! She’s good with other cats, and though she hasn’t had direct contact with dogs, doesn’t
show any aggression or fear when she sees dogs. Samantha would be good in a home with someone
who will be patient with her, show her lots of love, and win her over with treats!

SCDR has cats for adoption at both PetSmart Stores in Lubbock as well as Pet Supplies Plus on 82nd Street. All cats have vaccinations and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

Email us for more information on our adoption process.
