Sam's Story

Sam and his bonded sister, Elsa, were born in a feral cat colony, spending the first few months of their lives there. Eventually, they made their way to a nearby home, where they found food left outside for other outdoor cats. The homeowner, noticing them, provided a warm outdoor cat house on the porch during the recent cold snap to give them shelter.

Sam began greeting the homeowner when food was brought out, and soon, he started rubbing up against her legs. After a few days, he allowed her to pet him. Eventually, she was able to pick him up, along with his sister, and take them for their spay/neuter surgeries, rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccination, deworming, combo testing (which came back negative), and flea/tick treatment.

Although we typically follow TNVR (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return) protocols, these two were too young and too friendly to be returned to the colony, especially with the high coyote activity in the area.

If you are looking for two feline companions to give a loving forever home to, please contact us, and we will send you an adoption application.
