Sally's Story

Hi, I'm Sally - I'm smart, curious, and know exactly what I want: a safe indoor home with love, food, hugs, and comfort. I was born in a feral cat community, but I decided that kind of life wasn't for me. A kind lady living near our colony would often feed us, so one day I decided to follow her home. She didn't take me back to the colony, so I followed her around until I trusted her to pet me. I really enjoyed that! Then she picked me up! It was scary, but I liked it too. Those snuggly close hugs made me feel safe. I never knew what it was like to not fight for food or worry every time I closed my eyes, so I knew this was for me. Life was set! Sadly, she needed to move and was worried that I would get hurt without her watchful eye. She contacted Texas CARES to see if they could help me and before I knew it, I was living in a foster home. WOW! I had never been in a home before, nor had I been loved by another human. It was a bit scary, but I let my foster mom pet me, hug me, and I even ran around her entire house with her three other kitties. I'm not sure what I think of them yet, but we live happily around each other. My foster mom tells me I'm a good girl because I don't tear things up, scratch curtains, or make messes like she thought I might. I'm so happy inside. Long story a tad shorter, I have done so well that she says I'm ready for my own family now. I'm extremely curious, don't ever want to go outside again, and love being snuggled close in a blanket while laying on my human. Everything is new to me, so I'm like a kitten just figuring out the world of indoors. I plan on being your best buddy, hanging with you often, talking to you, and ready for adventure. I'm even great riding in the car! I'm ready for adoption at $195 - come by and let's see if we're a great match!
