SALEM's Story

Salem came into our care alongside five dogs and four other cats after the passing of their owner. Understandably, this was a major transition for him, and he is now looking for a calm, stable home with an adopter or rescue willing to help him get any further medical care he needs. Salem has been drinking and urinating more than normal, which can sometimes be seen with conditions like diabetes, or thyroid disease. His blood sugar was checked and came back normal, which is reassuring, but further monitoring and more testing than FBCAS can provide may still be needed if symptoms continue. Salem appears uncomfortable sometimes when trying to sit, which may be related to arthritis or general joint or muscle pain. Additionally, Salem would benefit from dental evaluations. Salem has shown some weight gain and has a good appetite – both of which are good signs! He is currently stable and simply needs a home willing to continue monitoring his health and provide any follow up veterinary care as needed. He’s looking for a home to spend his golden years in peace and comfort.
