Sailor's Story

For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org.
Sailor is a fabulous black cat with a personality larger than life! This handsome boy lives for fun, whether it’s playtime adventures or the unmistakable canned food being offered.
Sailor first appeared at a colony site showing signs of an upper respiratory infection, and when he was brought in for veterinary care, it was discovered that he is FeLV positive. That diagnosis meant he needed a safe place to land, and thankfully Sailor found his way to us, where he joined our special group of feline leukemia positive cats.
Living in his beautiful room, he’s ready to chart a new course toward a loving forever home. Because of his medical history, a member of our Adoption Committee will review Sailor’s veterinary records with potential adopters so the importance of routine follow-up care is unerstood, to keep him feeling his best.
What does Sailor need in a home? Ideally, he would live with other FeLV-positive cats, or he would be perfectly happy as the one-and-only feline if it means he gets to be the center of your world with lots of fun.
In return for giving this special boy the love and care he deserves, Sailor promises to navigate his way straight into your heart, and before long, he’ll be steering his way to becoming the love of your life.
DOB: 11/2019
Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
