Sage's Story
Sage is a beautiful 1-year-old gray kitty who is still learning how to feel comfortable with people and shelter life, but underneath the uncertainty is a playful and affectionate young cat trying very hard to figure things out.

Coming from a property where far too many cats were living together after their owner passed away, Sage likely had very little individual attention before arriving at the shelter. Because of that, she can become nervous if approached too quickly or pushed beyond her comfort level. She especially prefers not to be picked up right now and does best with a slower, gentler approach that allows her to build trust on her own terms.

Once she feels safe, Sage’s sweeter and more playful side begins to appear. With patience, quiet surroundings, and respectful boundaries, we believe Sage has a lot of potential to continue blossoming into a wonderful companion.

Spayed, microchipped, dewormed, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), current on vaccines and flea/tick prevention.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
