Sabrina (reduced adoption fee)'s Story
Sabrina is a sleek, beautiful black cat, about a year old, one of four cats who lost their home due to eviction. Any cat would find this traumatic but, with time, patience, and gentle care in her foster home, her affectionate personality has come through. Sabrina is a lap cat who enjoys being pet, loves to play, and is happy to settle in close beside her foster mom. We know she gets along well with other cats. While she hasn’t yet been observed around dogs or children, she would likely do well with respectful kids and dogs who understand how to interact gently with cats. Sabrina would thrive in a home where she gets plenty of interaction and isn’t left alone for long stretches. She’s an easygoing companion who would be a good match for a first-time adopter, and she’s likely to form a strong, lasting bond with whoever brings her home.

She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her medical records. She’s being fostered in Boston's Fenway area. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Sabrina's case, the adoption fee has been substantially reduced to a mere $145 to facilitate a quick adoption because many university-student fosters are leaving the area very soon and we want to avoid cats having to go through the stress of needless transitions-- a bargain for a new best friend who will be devoted companions for life. Cats can live past 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters. Including your phone number is likely to result in a faster response.
