What is Venango County Humane Society’s adoption process?

The adoption fee for dogs, 12 months and older, is $125, and for puppies, 11 months and under, is $150. The adoption fee for cats, 12 months and older, is $65. The fee for kittens, 11 months and younger, is $75. All animals adopted from our shelter are already spayed or neutered, have distemper vaccine, a one year rabies vaccine, dewormer, flea treatment, a wellness exam, and micro-chip. The Humane Society can accept cash, checks, or card for adoption and deposit fees. If you wish to surrender an animal, placement at the Humane Society is by appointment only. Be sure to call ahead and arrange a date and time. This will ensure that there is available space at the shelter for your pet. There are no fees for surrendering animals.
