Rye's Story

Once upon a chilly day, a kind park ranger stumbled upon three tiny kittens (Ciabatta, Rye, and Pumpernickel) huddled together — scared, hungry, and waiting for a miracle. Fast forward a few months, and look at them now!

Rye and her sister Pumpernickel and her brother Ciabatta are about 6 months old. They’ve been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV — all ready for their forever homes. They’re currently being spoiled (just a little!) in a loving foster home in the Columbus area, where they’ve proven to be affectionate, playful, and full of personality.

These kittens are the perfect mix of cozy and curious — the kind of companions who’ll keep you laughing during the day and purring beside you at night.

If you’re located in Ohio, and you’re interested in adopting Rye, submit an application online - https://www.forgotten4paws.com/adopt-adoptform. Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a cat can be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). Note that a verifiable vet history is required, and an application must be submitted prior to arranging a meeting. Email contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com with any questions.

Forgotten 4 Paws's Adoption Policy
Matching responsible pet guardians with Forgotten 4-Paws' cats is our primary goal. We carefully interview potential adopters because we want to make sure the right match is made! Our Forgotten 4-Paws 'interviewers' do a great job of matchmaking. We work hard to fit your adoption criteria with the pets we have up for adoption. We want the adoption to be successful for both you and the cat or dog! Too often pets end up in shelters because they were never a good match for their homes in the first place. At Forgotten 4-Paws, we look for people who intend to provide a home for the life of the pet and understand what that requires. ADOPTION PROCESS Start by completing an application. Online adoption applications are available at www.Forgotten4Paws.org. Please email any questions contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee that a cat or kitten will be placed with you. Once you submit your application, a Forgotten 4-Paws volunteer will contact you for an interview and to talk about the specific pet(s) you expressed interest in. After the interview process, we will set up a time for you to meet the cat / kitten to make sure a successful match has been made. Typically, this will be at your home. If approved, the volunteer will make arrangements for your new feline to join your family. The adoption fees are $85.00 for one cat/kitten or $150 for two cats/kittens.
