Meet Ryan. He is about 5 1/2 months old. He is a beautiful tuxedo with solid white on his left ear. He has had a very tough start, but things are changing for the better now. He came in with his brother, Roman, who is a bit less shy and afraid, and his sister and Mother. He was found outside in Coventry, and has had a rough start to life - having experienced living in the wild and lack of human touch. He was spending all his time hiding- but just yesterday October 25, he started to get a bit more brave and came out for a bit of red laser tag play, and just days later was rubbing against the volunteers and wanting patting. So every day he’s getting a bit more comfortable and trusting. We’ve been letting the whole family have some free roam in the shelter. We feel he will continue to expand on playing and wanting even more soon human touch, as he continues to build on his trust- which is great!! He will need a quiet home and someone with patience to let him take his time and get adjusted and feel safe and loved and comfortable. We are confident he will thrive and his true personality will come through in time. Won’t you come meet this tuxedo boy and give him the chance he so deserves!! Currently, visits to the shelter are by appointment only for approved applications, so please fill out an online application, then email it into us at petrefuge@verizon.net.
