Ruthie is a lovely 5-year-old girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find the person she’s been waiting for. She has a playful streak and enjoys a good toy or a little fun around the house, but what she loves most is simply being close to her favorite human.<br/><br/>At first, Ruthie can be a bit shy with new people and may need a little time to feel comfortable. Once she knows she’s safe, though, her sweet personality shines. She quickly becomes a devoted companion, happily following her person from room to room like a tiny shadow. She adores being held, curling up in a warm lap, and stretching out across your chest for cozy snuggles.<br/><br/>Ruthie prefers not to share her home with other cats and would be happiest as the only feline in the household. She has more than enough love, personality, and companionship to fill a home all by herself.<br/><br/>For someone willing to give her a little patience at the start, Ruthie will reward you with endless affection, playful moments, and the kind of bond that makes a cat feel like your very best friend.<br/><br/>Adopters must live within 75 miles of Racine, WI. Adoption fee for one cat is $100.00, two for $150.00. This radius is in place due to ongoing medical care we provide post-adoption.<br/><br/>Most of our cats are in our office and you can come meet them. For those, we look to have an approved application prior to sending someone to a private residence. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an application. Online applications are located on our website: www.hopesafehouse.org.<br/><br/>Upon approval of your application, we will contact you with the foster home phone number to arrange a meet and greet. There is no cost or obligation to apply.<br/><br/>All cats will be up to date on vaccines, spay/neutered*, microchipped and a 30-day health certificate. *If they are too young to be altered, the fee includes spay/neutered at one of our preferred clinics.
