Russell's Story

Eighteen-pound Russell came to us when his owner took over care for her sister with mobility issues. Russell is a very friendly cat and likes to rub up against your legs. This habit sent his aunt to the hospital for tripping over him. Feeling like she had to do the right thing for her sister's health, the owner reached out to us.

Russell seems like a very sweet, chill guy and would love a couch to curl up on and a new set of legs to weave in and out of. Maybe they will be yours!

Scituate Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Our Adoption Process Please note our adoption application process is not on a first come, first serve basis. When you first arrive at our shelter, you will be asked to fill out a brief survey, which helps us to find the right pet for you. Our adoption counselors act as “matchmakers” and will work with you to find the right match - for both you and the animal - based on the information you have given us. If you don't find a match right away, we will hold your survey on file for several months while you continue your search.
