Russ's Story

Age: 4 months
Breed: Domestic Shorthair (White with Grey Spots)
Status: Founder & Visionary

Every great organization starts with an ambitious visionary! Named after a local business's company founder and owner, Russ is ready to spearhead new exploratory ventures and acquire all the wand toys at your house. This silly noodle is equal parts adventurous explorer and total sweetheart, constantly seeking out new territory (and all the kisses and cuddles he can get).

Russ is currently looking to form a strategic partnership with any big resident cats in the home and loves chasing interactive wand toys. While he’s currently in his startup phase with plenty of playful "kitten crazies," he’s destined to mature into a super chill, relaxed dude once his venture fully takes off.

Russ rounds out our executive kitten crew with his brothers Bob and Al! While he’d love to be adopted alongside one of his C-suite partners, he can also be adopted on his own—as long as you already have a young resident cat ready to join his startup venture. This little kitten is a bundle of playful energy and needs a partner-in-crime! To make sure they stay happy and thoroughly entertained, OARS only adopts kittens out in pairs or into homes that already have a resident kitten or young cat to play with.

All OARS cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, up to date on rabies and distemper, and have had dewormer medication as a preventive measure. All have tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Some kitties may even have a microchip.

HOW TO ADOPT

*Complete an adoption application on our website
http://www.orphananimalrescue.org/adopt

*Contact your veterinarian's office and NON-RELATED personal references to expect a phone call from someone at OARS. This helps us process the application within 2 days.

We focus on providing personalized care for these cats in a loving, home-like environment. Cats live in cozy rooms (cage-free!) where they can play with their favorite toys, watch bird feeder activity, and nap in a favorite sunny spot.
To save as many lives as possible, we partner directly with other rescues and shelters to focus our efforts on overcrowded facilities and kitties who require extra TLC to prepare them for adoption. Because of this, we cannot accept cats directly from the public. Everything we do is fueled by your generosity! As a 100% donation-supported rescue, every dollar goes straight toward food, supplies, and veterinary care for the animals in our hands.

Get involved and be part of the difference for these pets.
Facebook: ORPHAN ANIMAL RESCUE AND SANCTUARY
Website: OrphanAnimalRescue.org
Instagram: @OARSRescue
TikTok: @OARSRescue
