I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.<br/>I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.<br/>I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.<br/><br/>A volunteer writes: With her face pressed against the wall, Rupaw tries to make herself small when we try to visit with her. There's a time and a place for her to take up all the space she deserves, but we don't know if that time is now and we're pretty sure the place isn't likely to be the shelter. Rupaw came to us from a home with many other cats and very little experience with people. This makes shelter life a considerable challenge, but hardly impossible considering there are a few things Rupaw seems to really like. First, of course, are treats. Second is a little extra patience. Rupaw will accept some pets but hasn't been one to ask. She's waiting to find a home where she can be herself and become the best little kitty she can be.
