Rumble - FINISHED FIP Treatment!'s Story
Meet Rumble — silly snuggle-bug extraordinaire

Rumble is the kind of kitten who wins everyone over the moment they meet him. He loves to flop down at our volunteer Beth’s feet for pets and head scratches, and if you scoop him up, he happily melts into cuddles with sweet little head nuzzles. He’s playful, gentle, and endlessly affectionate. Rumble especially adores his best friend August, and the two would love to be adopted together. They zoom, romp, and then crash together after a good play session.

Rumble came to us from another rescue knowing he would need entropion surgery on one eye. On the day of that scheduled surgery, our shared veterinarian made the unexpected discovery that Rumble had Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), and the eye surgery had to be postponed until he could begin treatment and stabilize. Unfortunately, the original rescue was unable to take on the cost of FIP treatment, and we couldn’t imagine this sweet boy losing his chance at life — so we stepped in.

After a week or two on FIP medication, Dr. Wisdom was able to successfully repair Rumble’s first entropion eye. A few weeks later, the second eye also required entropion surgery, which he handled like a champ. Today, Rumble is feeling great and continues his FIP treatment with a wonderful prognosis.

While his medical journey hasn’t been an easy one, Rumble hasn’t let it slow him down one bit. He is incredibly social, fun-loving, and adored by every staff member and volunteer who meets him. He does well with other friendly, playful cats and thrives on attention, companionship, and affection.

Rumble may have been an expensive kitten for us to get healthy, but he is absolutely worth it. He’s living proof that rescue can be hard and not cheap — but always worth it.

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a special boy (and ideally his best buddy August), Rumble is ready to return that love a thousand times over.

If you'd like to meet me, stop by Jefferson Feed (corner of Jefferson Hwy. and Central Ave.).

Adoption Fee is $200/each or $350/pair. We like our kittens to have friends so we want a pair adoption if you have no other pets unless we know a specific kitten prefers to be alone. All kittens are Spayed/Neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and microchipped.

DOWNLOAD our Adoption Application here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ahiajf6e6i0ox2hdl09jk/JSPCA-Application_2.0-Newest-Updates.pdf?rlkey=be9he1julh02etikl021k9plk&dl=0

All adoptions subject to approval.
