Ruger's Story

Meet Daisy & Ruger -- a bonded pair looking for a second chance together 🐾
Daisy and Ruger are sweet 3-year-old siblings searching for a loving home after losing the only home they'd ever known. When their owner passed away, her daughter made the heartbreaking decision to find them a new family because severe allergies made it impossible for her to keep them.
These two have already been through so much, and while they aren't the kind of pair who spend every moment snuggled up together, Daisy is very attached to Ruger and becomes upset when he isn't there. In their foster home, they may do their own thing and aren't always side by side, but Daisy cries for Ruger if they're separated completely. Because of that, they need to stay together in their new home.
Daisy is a loving girl who enjoys people, pets, and companionship. She'll tolerate being held for a moment, but she'd much rather curl up beside you and soak up affection. She can be a little sassy with her brother from time to time, but underneath it all, his presence gives her comfort and security.
Ruger is a gentle, affectionate boy who also loves people and enjoys attention. He likes being near his humans and even enjoys being picked up occasionally for a little extra love. He's a sweet soul who doesn't swat back at his sister and is happy to let Daisy set the tone.
Their foster mom is taking wonderful care of them, but with so many other cats in the home, Daisy and Ruger would love a quieter place where they can truly relax, feel safe, and be cherished again.
They've lost their person, but they haven't lost their ability to love. What they need now is a home where Daisy can keep the brother who makes her feel safe, and both cats can finally settle in and be part of a family again.
If you have room in your heart and home for two sweet cats who just want love, comfort, and a fresh start, Daisy and Ruger would love to meet you.Interested in adopting a companion cat from Texas Animal Society?
Please email info@texasanimalsociety.com and complete online adoption application at texasanimalsociety.org
Come visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.texasanimalsociety.org/
