Rue

Meet 4-month-old Rue, the clever little thinker of the group! Like her namesake from The Hunger Games, Rue is thoughtful, intelligent, and quietly confident—and she has absolutely no problem doing things her own way.

Rue is one of the remarkable survivors of a litter that battled calicivirus as newborns. Alongside her siblings Peeta, Prim, and Katniss, she fought her way through a difficult start and has grown into a curious, playful little girl with a wonderful independent streak.

Rue is often the kitten who decides that a solo expedition sounds like the perfect afternoon. She loves exploring new spaces, investigating interesting objects, and figuring out how things work. She's always thinking!

That doesn't mean Rue doesn't enjoy company. She loves people and other cats, and she's happy to join her siblings for some kitten chaos. She's simply confident enough not to compete for the spotlight. While Peeta, Prim, and Katniss may be busy demanding attention, Rue is perfectly content to wait her turn.

When it comes to cuddles, Rue prefers quality over quantity. She'll happily snuggle with you for a bit before deciding it's time to get back to her next important expedition.

Because even independent kittens need feline companionship, Rue must be adopted with one of her siblings or into a home with another young, playful cat. She's perfectly capable of marching to the beat of her own drum—but having a feline friend to chase around with makes life even more fun!

Smart, curious, playful, and independent, Rue is a wonderful little companion with a mind of her own.

After everything she's overcome, Rue is ready for her next adventure—and this time, she's hoping it ends with a forever home.

Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying!
