Roxie (female) and Ryder (male) - BONDED PAIR's Story

Roxie (female) and Ryder (male) were barn cats (DOB 9-17-2025) that could no longer be cared for by their owner. They were trapped by Safe Haven and arrived at the shelter in March 2026. These precious young kitties are bonded and need to be adopted as a pair. Both are super sweet, very cute, and dearly loved by all of the shelter volunteers - their pictures say it all!

Roxie and Ryder are new to the Safe Haven and still a bit timid, but their gentle, loving nature shines through more each day. Roxie, a tuxedo girl, is the braver and more outgoing of the two, while Ryder, a handsome marbled tabby, is quieter, but with an impressively loud purr! Both are playful, and Ryder especially loves toys.

They may be a little unsure at first when being picked up, but they never bite or scratch. With a little reassurance, their fear quickly melts away. In no time, they’re purring, relaxing, and happily snuggling into your lap - staying as long as you let them. When one is being held or petted, the other relaxes and all worries fade away.

They both love squeeze-up treats, Ryder will even reach out for more! They're making great progress with the help of a dedicated socializer.

Roxie and Ryder would do well in a home with adults and respectful older children. Because they were part of a cat colony, they will most likely get along with other cats in the home.

With a little patience and a lot of love, Roxie and Ryder will blossom into wonderful, affectionate companions.
