Rosie C.'s Story

Rosie is a beautiful young mama cat who has done an incredible job raising her six kittens and is ready to start her next chapter. She is affectionate, loving, and enjoys spending time with her people. Rosie loves head pets, chin scratchies, and butt scratchies, and she's not shy about letting you know when she'd like some attention. She has a sweet, gentle presence and communicates in the cutest ways, from soft chirps and trills to the occasional commentary when she has something important to say.

Rosie's nurturing personality is one of the things that makes her so special. She has been an incredibly devoted mother, not only caring for her own six kittens but also helping care for a foster kitten named Mongoose when he needed a little extra support. Even when she was clearly exhausted from raising a large family, she continued doing everything she could for her babies.

One of Rosie's best qualities is that she communicates well. She isn't aggressive and has never been mean, but she's honest about her boundaries and preferences. She enjoys affection on her own terms and appreciates having her feelings respected. Because she communicates so clearly, she's easy to understand and rewarding to build a relationship with. Once she feels comfortable, she's a very loving companion.

Rosie is FIV-positive, but please don't let that scare you away. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives and often do just as well as FIV-negative cats. Many people are surprised to learn that FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, litter boxes, or casual social contact. Rosie has so much love to give and deserves to be judged by her personality, not her diagnosis.

After spending months focused on raising her babies, Rosie is ready for a home of her own where she can relax, be loved, and enjoy being someone's cherished companion. She has spent so much of her life taking care of everyone else. Now it's her turn to be spoiled.
