Rosie's Story

Meet Rosie

Rosie is a super cute, sweet girl with a heart full of love and a serious weakness for chin and head scratches. She's very people-oriented and affectionate, and once she feels comfortable, she melts right into you like warm butter.

Rosie likes to be in control of her space and interactions-when she can set the pace, she feels safe and confident. She's curious but cautious, taking in the world thoughtfully before fully diving in. Give her a few gentle chin scratches, though, and all bets are off-she'll happily pause whatever she's doing (even making biscuits!) just to soak up the love.

With her soft, gentle nature, Rosie would make a wonderful lap cat for someone who appreciates a calm, affectionate companion. She's the kind of cat who bonds deeply, leans into your touch, and reminds you how special quiet, loving moments can be.

If you're looking for a sweet, tender soul to share your couch and your heart, Rosie might just be your perfect match

Rosie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. You can meet her daily at the shelter between 12-6pm. For more information, email adoptions@caspca.org

Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA's Adoption Policy
How to Adopt Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application * Please take a look at the adoptable animals below, and if you see one you are interested in, submit an online application using either of the following links. * Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not place the animal on hold. Adoptions are by appointment only. Please submit an application to get a link for scheduling. Step 2: * If the animal you are interested in is in a foster home, we will connect you with the foster via email to set up a virtual appointment or coordinate a time to meet at the shelter. Step 3: Adopt Your New Pet! * Adoptions are processed only after the applicant has met with the animal either through an offsite meeting or at the shelter. * If you have met the animal at the shelter and want to adopt, you can do so that day! Our Adoption Counselors will finalize the paperwork and process payment. All dogs must leave with a collar and a leash, and all cats must leave in a carrier. * If you have spoken with an animal’s foster family and wish to adopt, please reply to the email from our Adoption Counselors, who will process the adoption paperwork and payment electronically.
