Rosemary's Story

I am a sweet little cowgirl (well, I'm a cat but my markings are definitely cow.) When you meet me, you'll see that I play a little hard-to-get. By that I mean I will hiss at you, but that is just my normal "I don't know you" greeting. Sometimes I hiss now, sometimes I don't. If you let me sniff your hand first and wait, I'll move toward you for head and chin rubs. I seem to have a short-term memory problem because I will hiss at you every time you approach me, but no, it's still just me being me. After we go through my "greeting" and I have let you pet my head and chin for about five minutes, I will lay down for back rubs and belly rubs. Don't think you'll rub my belly and run off - it is my favorite thing and I expect a bit of extra attention. Bring a book or the remote - you'll be here awhile. I am NOT a fan of being picked up and I will be pretty clear about that. But I am a fan of playing. Although I am a recent mom, I loved to play with my kittens and teach them how to wrestle and play with string toys and the "mystery motion" toy (a circle mat with a magical motion.) I would love a tunnel to crawl through and use as a napping spot and a window seat so I can bird-watch. Because of my "special" personality, if there are kids in the home, they should be older and learn to understand my body language.
