Rosemary and Lavender's Story

Meet Rosemary and Lavender: A spicy and sweet sister Duo

Rosemary and Lavender are bonded sisters who survived a heartbreaking start to life. They were rescued from a hoarding environment where they were uderweight, starving and very sick. After receiving the care and love they desperately needed, these resilient girls were nursed back to health and are now ready to find a patient forever family.

These two love each other deeply and must be adopted together. They become extremely upset and cry when seperated, so their bond is truly inseperable.

Rosemary and Lavender are shy at first and still learning that people can be safe. They are not comfortable with hands reaching directly towards them, but they respond wonderfully to food, play, gentle movements, and soft affection using a wand or scratcher. Once they trust you, they become affectionate girls with loud, happy purrs.

Rosemary is the shyer and more observant sister. She is incredibly curious about people and loves to quietly follow her foster mom around the house to see what is happening. She is intelligent, makes wonderful eye contact, and seems to carefully process everything around her.

Lavender is a little braver and easier to approach. She may greet you with a hiss when you walk toward her, but she will often stay in place and allow gentle pets. Her spicy exterior quickly gives way to a very sweet personality once she feels coomfortable.

Both girls are extremely playful, energetic, and food motivated. They love running laps around the home, chasing balls, and playing with their favorite feather wand with a little bell.

Rosemary and Lavender need a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust cannot be rushed. They may not immediately climb into your lap, but with time, consistency, treats, play time and gentle interactions they will continue blossiming into affectionate and devoted companions.

If you are willing to give these spicy-sweet sisters the time and understanding they deserve, Rosemary and Lavender will reward you with endless entertainment, loud purrs, and twice the love.

If you're interested in this bonded pair please fill out the application below: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NYLC/Cat

Lucky Cat Rescue NYC's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to place every cat in a safe, loving, and permanent home. Prospective adopters complete an adoption application, participate in an interview, provide two to three references, and complete a virtual home visit. We review each application to ensure the cat is a good match for the adopter’s home, lifestyle, and experience. Cats are required to be kept indoors and receive appropriate veterinary care. We have a strict two-cat policy for kittens under six months of age: they must either be adopted with another kitten or be placed in a home that already has a compatible cat. This policy helps ensure young kittens have appropriate socialization, companionship, and play. Kittens who are not yet large enough to be spayed or neutered are adopted under an agreement requiring the procedure to be completed when they reach the appropriate age and weight, with proof provided if the adopter uses their own veterinarian. Our process is designed to ensure safe, responsible, and lasting adopter
