Rosa's Story

Rosa was born on the streets in an area with many stray cats and abandoned houses and had to make her way with little love or resources. Despite that, she persevered and survived. However, the winter months and an exposure to FeLV proved too much, and she became weak and ill, which is how she came to us!

After a glow-up concoction of a shave, bath, good food and medication, she is regaining her health and positive outlook on life. Rosa does have special health needs because of her FeLV status. She will need regular veterinary monitoring (minimum 1x per year and possibly more). Her immune system is not as strong so she will need high quality food. She will also need to live with other FeLV kitties or in a home alone; that would be best! FeLV kitties can live several years after diagnosis with the right care and love! She is a very sweet girl.

She will be spayed/ neutered and vaccinated. Snap tested positive for FeLV and negative for FIV. Apply at: www.jawscares.org/adopt by submitting an app through your pets profile.

For updates on this animal or other pets through this rescue go to @drdahlintalksanimals on FB/Instagram
