Excuse me! Rory will tap, tap, tap to get your attention for pets and loving. And nope, she won't stop tapping until you give this Queen of the Manor the attention she do longs for and deserves. She's the perfect companion for quiet evenings—a little wand toy play(or lots of the wand toy) followed by snuggling on the couch while you read or watch movies is her idea of paradise. Need a work-from-home office assistant at the ready? Rory is your girl.<br/><br/>Rory had an injury long ago that resulted in a little giddy-up to her step, so she has a slight hippy hop to her. She was accessed by our vet who found there to be no current issue with no attention needed.<br/> <br/>IDEAL HOME<br/>Rory will thrive with an attentive family who's home regularly. She'd enjoy a feline friend but is equally content as your one and only. Cat-savvy kids 8+ are welcome, and a respectful dog could work with proper introductions. Her wishlist includes cat trees near windows for bird-watching and cozy spots to lounge with her favorite humans.<br/><br/>PERSONALITY & HABITS<br/>Easy-going and affectionate without being overly demanding, Rory just wants your love and attention. She's excellent with scratching posts (both vertical and horizontal) and perfect with her litter box. She has two sisters available as well if you're interested in adopting a pair or trio!<br/><br/>CARE REQUIREMENTS<br/>*Feeding: Canned pâté twice daily (she's thriving on this diet!)<br/>*Litter: Large, open-style box with unscented clumping litter (one box per cat, plus one extra). A litter box on each floor of the home would be of great benefit. <br/>*Grooming: Currently growing out from a lion cut, so grooming is easy now. Will need combing 2-3 times weekly (just 5-10 minutes) to prevent mats and hairballs. Monthly nail trims are a breeze. Daily eye wipes with Eye Envy keep her face clean and healthy. <br/><br/>No declawing ever<br/><br/>TRANSITION TIPS<br/>Rory needs a patient family who understands that settling in takes time—often up to 3 months. Start her in a basecamp room and introduce her to the home gradually. Research proper cat introductions, especially if you have other pets.<br/>Rory is ready to be your devoted companion. Could she be your perfect match?<br/><br/>VETTING PROVIDED<br/>Exam, spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, stenotic nares surgery for improved breathing, dental, completed parasite protocol, microchip and full senior health panel which includes cbc/chem, T3/T4 and UA. <br/><br/>LOCATION AND ADOPTION<br/>Fostered in Valparaiso, Indiana (45 min from Chicago and SW Michigan, 2 hours from Wisconsin).<br/><br/>Adoption fee is $300.00<br/><br/>PurrHarmony, Inc. does not transport or ship cats. We welcome long-distance adopters.
