Roomba's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Roomba, a very affectionate, mellow, and talkative blind cat! She is approximately 7 years old. She recently had her eyes removed as they were both non-functional and causing her problems, but she gets around just fine without them and acts like a typical cat in all her endeavors other than she does not climb or jump very much.

This chonky medium-hair grey cat with a white spot on her chest loves to rub her face on you when she is happy, and she loves to be held as well. She is happiest sitting on your chest being pet, which allows her to rub her face all over yours. She is a love bug and is extremely affectionate. She does not seem to get along with other cats so we think she’d thrive as the only pet in the home. She also doesn’t care for toys or other cat enrichment activities; she just wants to chill and cuddle.

What Roomba’s looking for in a home:

- She’s new to indoor life with humans, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make her nervous.
- She can get nervous, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her feel comfortable with new experiences.
- She feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- She needs to live indoors only.
- She prefers to be the only pet in the house.
- She has no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in adopting Roomba! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt her by filling out this questionnaire: alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
