Roomba's Story

Meet Roomba! This sweet kitten is still learning that people can be friends. Bissell has been shy with human interaction at the shelter and will need a patient adopter willing to give them time to build trust. Food, gentle daily interactions, and a quiet space will help Bissell feel safe and confident. We don't know how long their adjustment may take, but we're hopeful that with patience and love, their personality will begin to shine!

Roomba is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Reach out for more information! adoptions@adoptlansing.org or 517-626-60

Capital Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy

The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
