Ron Weasley Tabby New Bedford, MA

Ron Weasley is approximately 5 and was found outside as a stray. Based on his disposition and the location found, we believe he was dumped by his owner. He's got the sweetest disposition and is not as sad than he appears. He greets his foster family with a hilarious little meow at the end of the workday that sounds like he's saying "hwello" - it's stupidly cute! He LOVES his foster mom's 7 year old son, as well as other children that have visited the home, so we think he would be okay living in a home with elementary-aged children, or older. He is a bit more skittish around adults, so he may have suffered from abuse at one point in his life. He is separated from the other cats in his foster home, but chats through the door with another kitten in the home. He watches the other kittens in his foster home from behind a gate and seems to want to play with them. We think he would be happy living in a home that has another kitty.

Ron Weasley tested positive for FIV, which is a virus that attacks the immune system. It can be spread to other cats through saliva and blood, so bite wounds are the most common cause of transmission. Because of this, it is most common in male street cats, since they are most likely to fight amongst themselves for food, mates and territory. The adoption fee is $200 and includes the following: spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccines, deworming, microchip, FeLV & FIV testing, deflea and vet examination.
