Romeo's Story

Romeo showed up outside a feeder's home last spring, most likely dumped. He was trapped and neutered, then kept returning for meals, which says everything about what kind of cat he is. He never hardened. Never stopped wanting to be close to people.

When winter hit and he started crying to come inside, a foster took him in. First day indoors, he melted. He buries his face in your chest when you pick him up, makes biscuits constantly, and gets chatty when he's hungry. He's big but gentle, the kind of lap cat that surprises you.

He deserves a home that doesn't let him go this time. He is vaccinated, fixed, flea free and dewormed. He is FIV+, which sounds scarier than it is. With routine vet care, FIV+ cats live long, healthy, normal lives, and since the virus only passes through deep bite wounds, he can coexist safely with other cats.

NJ adopters only, within ~1 hour of North Bergen
