Romeo's Story

Romeo came to us with his two brothers, Guy and Buddy. They all 3 could be triplets they look so much alike, except, Romeo is the biggest. He is a very light gray tabby. They were all surrendered to us because the person had too many cats. Their mother showed up as a stray and had kittens. He was only outside before coming to our shelter, but is litter box trained. He is friendly but a little shy. He enjoys cheek scratches and treats. Stone County Humane Society Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We approve adoptions over the phone by responding to a completed adoption application. Please go to our website schspets.org and complete an online application and someone will contact you. Our adoption fees are $150 for shelter dogs and $200 for Paws in Prison trained dogs, and $75 for cats. We take only cash or check no credit cards. We are open daily from 2 to 5 by appointment only (during the Pandemic). Volunteers are here Monday - Friday from 11 to 5 to answer the phone and help with adoptions.
