Rocky's Story
Rocky, after a long, difficult journey needs a loving home and companion. When a volunteer found him, he was starving. He couldn’t eat because he had ulcers on his tongue. His left ear was torn and bloody, he was badly congested, and his eyes were so encrusted he couldn’t see. He had never been neutered. He was rushed to emergency care. A vet suggested we put him to sleep, but we wanted him to have a chance. After much love and nurturing, he has recovered. And he is no longer a Tom cat. His ear is healed, he has become a bit plump since his ulcers healed, and he has become a real love. He can’t get enough affection and loves to give head bumps.

He is FIV positive, but other than that, his blood work is excellent. He has chronic sinusitis, so he sniffles and sneezes a bit, but his eyes are clear. He would be best in a home as the only pet. Obviously, as a Tom cat he got into too many fights. We have no idea how old he is, but he probably looks older than he is, due to his “rocky” life.

We are looking for someone who loves sweet tough guys, and wants a companion – someone who is home a lot. Rocky deserves a good life, and will be well worth any time spent with him. We have included pictures of him when found, and pictures of him at present. If you are interested in learning more about Rocky, please email grossmanmary4@gmail.com or call Mary at 401-826-7081. If you get voicemail, leave your name and number. Your call will be returned.
