Rock Lobster's Story

Meet Rock Lobster (or we guess Dutch is his government name)!

Rock Lobster, who also goes by Dutch, came to us after his owner moved to a home that unfortunately did not allow cats. While he's still adjusting to shelter life, he's already shown us what a wonderful boy he is.

According to his previous owner, Lobster does great with other cats and loves having feline friends around. He's a playful guy who enjoys interacting with other cats, and while he's still a little reserved in the shelter environment, he appreciates pets and attention from staff and volunteers as he continues to settle in.

Now, let's talk about what makes Lobster such a unique little guy. He does have a 4/6 heart murmur, but what really catches everyone's attention are his front feet. Lobster was born with deformities that make his paws look a bit like tiny lobster claws! He's missing some toes, has others in unusual places, and has a distinctive walk that's entirely his own.

The good news? He doesn't let any of that slow him down. After being examined by our veterinarian, he appears to be comfortable and pain-free. He gets around just fine, plays, explores, and enjoys life like any other cat.

Dutch may look a little different, but that's part of what makes him so special. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a unique story and an even sweeter personality, Rock Lobster might be the perfect catch.

On the Day of Adoption: If you are adopting a dog, please bring a carrier and/or leash and collar with you to pick up your pet. If you are adopting a cat, you will be required to bring a carrier.
