River's Story

River was saved at just two weeks old from drowning in an irrigation ditch. Unfortunately, she was tested and diagnosed with FIV, but she has not let it stop her! She is as happy and healthy as can be! Maybe even a little too healthy as she is pleasantly plump!

She grew up in a home with several dogs. Since she is FIV positive, she will need to be an indoor only kitty. We recently found out that she isn't particularly fond of other kitties so she will also need to be the only cat in the home.

She is incredibly food motivated and squeaks, yes squeaks, for food and attention. She likes to put herself on display whilst she grooms. Some would say that she's inappropriate... but we think it's just appropriate enough for her! She is an absolute love, and don't let her chunkiness fool you, she LOVES to play!
