Rita (Bonded with Tom Tom)'s Story

Rita is a 4-year-old Domestic Shorthair who came in with Tom Tom and is still learning that the world and people can be safe. She is not very socialized yet and tends to be shy in new situations, preferring to observe from a distance rather than jump right into interaction.
Because of her background, Rita will need a patient home that allows her to adjust at her own pace without pressure. She may take time to warm up, but with consistency and a calm environment, she has the potential to build confidence and slowly learn trust.
Rita would do best in a quiet home where routines are predictable, and she can feel secure. She's not the type to demand attention, but she deserves a space where she can finally relax and just be herself.
For someone willing to give her time and understanding, Rita can blossom into a quiet, steady companion.

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All cats and kittens have been vaccinated for Distemper, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will also be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for FeLV/FIV. Cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home.
