MEET RISSA! Hey y'all! My name is Rissa and I am a 1-year old beauty looking for my forever family! We can start by addressing the elephant in the room - yes, I am aware that I have a chunk of fur missing from the side of my face and no, I didn’ t get a bad haircut. What might look like a rough hair day is actually the reason I ended up at the shelter. I was found as a stray with an injury to my face (I know, my GORGEOUS FACE!) Luckily, my shelter friends got me all healed up and me feeling happy and healthy again! While I really hope my luscious mane grows back, it might not and that is totally okay with me – I am healed and still stunning. My personality is what really matters and I am not even slightly lacking in that department! I am super social and I always have something to say! I don’t mind other kitties, as long as they don’t come on too strong. What I am really crazy about is attention, and trust me I demand it! I want to be loved on and snuggled so much that I roll around and holler at you until you give me love. I don’t mind being held, though I will most certainly let you know when I am done and need some time to refresh. Really, I just want someone to give me scratches, treats, and show me the love and safety I deserve! I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, current on prevention, microchipped, and negative for FIV/FeLV. Come by and meet me already! All Adoptions require a Pre-Adoption Interview with a YCAS Adoption Counselor, a meet and greet, and adoption approval. Every adoptable cat is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. The adoption fee is $77.
