Rhubarb is a darling girl looking to charm her way into your life. She’s also a tripod with a gentle, silly and playful personality—and you will feel like the luckiest person in the world once she decides to make you her person! <br/><br/>Rhubarb loves to greet us at the door with zoomies and gentle head butts. When she leans into head scratches, she may even flop over and show us her belly while purring, stretching out and allowing for belly pets when the mood strikes her. <br/><br/>It may take a little time for Rhubarb to gain your trust, but it’s so worth it once she gets to know you. She bonds hard with her person and just wants to be near them, whether that’s tapping her foster mom for attention and pets, pressing herself against her humans while on her favorite rug, or chirping with excitement when she hears her foster humans get home. She even lets her favorite foster human carry her around the house like a little princess, purring up a storm and allowing head kisses.<br/><br/>Toys, treats, and wet food go a long way toward helping Rhubarb get to know you. When you hold a Churu, she will confidently grasp it in between her paws. While she is missing her back left leg, she doesn’t let this get in the way of playtime. She’s a speedy kitten and will fetch all of her favorite toys, run up and down the stairs, and climb all the way up her favorite cat tree.<br/><br/>Rhubarb used to live outside, until one day her feeder found her with her back severely injured. We have no idea how she endured such a traumatic injury, but we immediately brought her to our vet. Our vet performed a necessary amputation. After that, we brought her in for life indoors, to give her the best life possible.<br/><br/>Because Rhubarb used to live outside, she can be a little wary of sudden noises or movements and would do best in a quiet home where she can get to know you on her own terms. Once she does, though, she’s confident, playful, and full of fun surprises. She has been a quick learner both in bonding hard with humans and also in manners—she's great with the litter box and respectful of furniture. <br/><br/>Rhubarb adores other cats and needs a kitten or cat buddy who can join her for some low-key play time.
