Rhea's Story

Meet Rhea!

This gorgeous girl with the muted-colored coat and inquisitive eyes was a very scared street cat, who had given birth to two separate litters before she turned 2 years old. After many months of feeding her and gaining her trust, a nice young couple coerced her to come into their home and get her off the streets!

Rhea was promptly fixed - no more babies for this baby! She was protective of herself and very hesitant around people and other cats once she got inside, but the young couple has been working on socializing her, and now, she comes to them, demanding cuddles and pets. She LOVES the brush, and even tolerates getting her teeth brushed and her nails trimmed! She is now mastering the art of "not attacking or freaking out when my paws get touched", and is getting more used to the idea of being an "inside baby" with each passing day.

Toys were recently introduced, and she is so cute when playing, you can tell this poor girl is being spoiled for the first time, and isn't quite sure how to respond sometimes.

One thing she is definitely getting used to are all the comfy beds and pillows! After a harsh winter giving birth outside in the cold and snow, she is ready to retire from motherhood and enjoy the lazy loaf life in the safety of a Forever Home, preferably at a spot on the floor right where the sun shines in!

Rhea is fixed, up to date on her vaccinations, and double negative. She will be staying with the couple that brought her in, who fell in love with her. They came to us because they know they can't keep her, but they offered to foster her until her Forever Person or Family came calling. She is available now!
