Hi, I'm Reyson! I'm a short haired black and white male, born approximately 3/12/2024. Not too long ago I was living the rough life of a barn cat, hunting, surviving, and keeping my distance from people. But after a tough stretch (and a little help healing from some old wounds), I decided I was ready for something better...a cozy indoor life filled with love! And let me tell you, I made the right choice.<br/>These days, I'm a sweet, chatty guy who loves being around my people. I'll chirp to say hello and happily carry on a full conversation with you while leaning in for pets. Once I trust you, I turn into a total snuggle bug with big purrs, head bonks, nose rubs, and biscuits included. I especially love rump scratches and will absolutely melt when you touch the right spot. Playtime is one of my favorite things, especially with feather wand toys; I can't resist them! I also enjoy brushing, lounging in a sunny window, and curling up beside you (or eventually right in your lap) for some quality cuddle time. Oh! I also love Churu treats and freeze-dried salmon.<br/>Because of my past, I can be a little nervous at first. I do best with slow introductions and a calm, consistent home where I can build trust at my own pace. I'm looking for a quiet home without dogs or other cats, where I can feel safe and not have to compete for space or attention. I would also do best in a home without young children; an older, respectful teenager may be okay. I'm not a big fan of being picked up, and I prefer that my belly stays off-limits. I can also get a bit overstimulated at times, and I may be food-motivated to the point of being protective of my meals, so I'll need an experienced, attentive adopter who can respect my boundaries and help me feel secure around feeding time. The good news is I've learned to communicate my limits without<br/>using my claws, just pay attention to my cues, and we'll get along great. Once I feel safe, my curious and affectionate personality truly blossoms.<br/>I've grown into a loving, loyal companion who's ready for his forever home.
